Homecoming 2015 - "Shooting for the Stars"

This year's homecoming theme is "Shooting for the Stars." Homecoming ticket sales will go online Monday, September 15 at 4 p.m. and will run through Tuesday night at 8 p.m.  Student may purchase up to two tickets and indicate the name of the person whose ticket they are buying.  Gym I will hold 1000 students (seniors (600) and juniors (400) and their dates) and Gym II will hold 500 students (sophomores (250) and freshmen (250) and their dates. Only Lane students may attend this year's homecoming dance.  Student applications will be reviewed for service learning hours (seniors must have 40 hours completed), demerits (no students may have 10 or more), or serious disciplinary infractions on their record.  A list of ticket holders will be emailed to the students by Friday, September 19.  Students who will receive tickets must bring $20 in cash or money order to exchange for their tickets on September 23 (after school in room 113) and September 24 (room 113 during lunch periods).  All students must follow the Lane Tech Homecoming Dance Dress Code (to be distributed with tickets) or they will not gain admittance to the dance.

Interested in running for homecoming court?  Two students will be chosen for a court position per grade level.  Students may nominate themselves beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesday 9/17 through 4 p.m. on Thursday 9/18.  The first 5 males and the first 5 females will be chosen as the nomination court.  Any student is eligible to run; however, seniors who run must have completed their 40 service learning hours.   Nomination instructions will be sent via email on Wednesday, 9/17.  Lane's student body will vote on the court during spirit week.
