Dear Lane Tech Students, Staff, Parents and Community,
The Lane Tech Local School Council is in the final stage of selecting a New Contract Principal. Our final two candidates are Mrs. Kathryn Anderson and Mr. Clifford Gabor. During our first regular meeting of the school year (Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 6:00pm), the LSC will go into closed session to give final consideration to the qualifications of these two candidates. Once back in open session, the name of one or both of the candidates will be placed in nomination. In order for the LSC to award a contract, a candidate must receive 7 affirmative votes. If neither Mrs. Anderson nor Mr. Gabor receives 7 votes, then we will discuss, in open session, our options. Those may include forwarding the names of the 2 finalists to the CEO of the Chicago Board of Education for him to select either one of those candidates, or beginning the whole selection process again.
