Brittani Nevils, senior in AP Computer Science, was recently awarded the Illinois State 2012 National Center for Women & Information Technology Award for Aspirations in Computing. Brittani is one of only twenty young women in the entire state receiving this award. According to NCWIT, the award "honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Awardees are selected for their computing and IT aptitude, leadership ability, academic history, and plans for post-secondary education."
Brittani was nominated by Lane Tech Computer Science Teacher, Daniel Law, and will be recognized for her accomplishments at the UIC Forum in April.
