Lane Tech Open House

Lane Tech's annual Open House will be held on Sunday, November 3 from 10:00am -12:00pm for students interested in the Academic Center, and from 1:00-3:00 p.m. for students interested in Lane Tech High School.  For more information, check out our Open House page on www.lanetech.org!

Spring Musical Audition Information

Students interested in auditioning for this year's musical, Kiss Me Kate, should attend an audition meeting Monday, October 28 or Tuesday, October 29, 9th period, in room 148.

New Library Hours

Dear students, parents and staff:
Our second school library assistant, Ms Hall, has started at Lane.

Lane Tech Library will be open from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. for both students and staff.

Congrats to the Debate Team!

The Lane Tech Varsity Debate team competed at the 2013 Allstate Varsity Invitational this past weekend.  Damariz Posadas and Neil Manansala finished second place overall.  Both students received top ten speaker awards and $500.00 scholarships to university debate camps!  Way to go!

National Merit Scholarship


The principal, Dr. Christopher Dignam, of Lane Tech College Prep high school announced today that Aedan Benna, Diego Lagunas, Marcin Salamon, Kevin Tun, Evelyn A. Wronkowski have been named Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented by the principal to these scholastically talented seniors.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for this exceptional academic promise. Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

"The young men and women being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success, "commented a spokesperson for NMSC. "These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.

Fall Play - Macbeth

The fall play, Macbeth, opens this week.  Showtimes are Wed Oct 23 and Thur Oct 24 at 3:45 and Fri Oct 25 and Sat Oct 26 at 7:00.  Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the the door.
