Math Team Contest

This week Lane Tech’s Math Team maintained their first place position in the entire City. At our meet we came in first place for all of the teams-GO MATHLETES!

-The Algebra 1 Team included Izabela Bilska and Daniel King, who tied for 2nd place, Si Yuan Ye and David Cheung, who tied for 3rd place individually, and Gavin Atack and Eric Chueng who tied for 4th place individually (Division B).

-The Geometry Team included Leonidas Georgopoulos who placed 3rd place individually (Division A).

-The Algebra 2 Team was lead by Tanner Patton who cam in 1st place individually, Natalie Simon and Ari Greenberg who tied for 2nd place individually, and Urooj Amir who placed 4th (Division B).

-The Precalculus Team was lead by Maggie Scholle who came in 2nd (Division B) and Guochuan Zhang who came in 4th (Division A).

LSC Candidate Forum will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 113.

Math Tutoring

Need some additional support in Math?  Morning Math Tutoring will be available, beginning Monday, January 25 in Room 124 (STEM Lab).  Students should check in with security in the cafeteria before attending.  No appointments required.

Yearbook Orders

The Lane Tech Arrowhead and LTAC Artifacts yearbooks are still available for purchase, but not for long!  Sales will end on February 26th as we are required to submit our final numbers to the printers. Unlike years past, NO EXTRAS will be available after the books arrive. Arrowhead yearbooks are $60 and LTAC Artifacts are $45.  Books can be purchased with cash or money order to Ms. Jennings in Room 137 or directly online using the links below.  If a student is not sure whether or not they've already purchased a copy, there is a list hanging outside of room 137.

A major component of our safety protocol is communication with our school community. On Thursday evening, in collaboration with CPS communication, we provided 3 updates via text message, phone, and email.  If you did not receive the text messages, phone calls, or emails, please take a moment to do the following:

Attendance
In addition, if your child/children did not attend school on Friday, please be sure to send an absence note to school, indicating the reason for absence. Your child should have the note signed by each of his/her teachers and turned into the attendance office at the end of the day. The Quick Start enrollment process will have 2 steps for the 2016-2017 school year.  The first step will occur prior to the end of the 2015-2016 school year.  The second step will take place on 8/24 (So & Jr), 8/25 (Fr & Sr), and 8/26 (LTAC).  Stay tuned for more info!
