Friday, June 21 - Senior Diploma Distribution

Students will enter the auditorium via the outside entrance at their appointment time. Staff members will direct them by division to room 113. Those students who fail to pick up their diplomas on that day will need to pick them up from the Records Office on or after June 24, 2013. YOU MUST BRING A PICTURE I.D. IN ORDER TO RECEIVE YOUR DIPLOMA.

Medical Compliance - Special Bell Schedule Friday

There will be a special bell schedule on Friday, June 21 to to distribute the medical compliance information to individual students.  It is important that all 7th & 9th-11th graders come to school on Friday!

Period 2- 8:40 a.m.- 9:15 a.m. - 35 minutes
Advisory- 9:20 a.m.- 10:20 a.m. - 60 minutes
Period 3- 10:25 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. -35 minutes
Period 4- 11:05 a.m.- 11:55 a.m. - 50 minutes
Period 5- 12:00 p.m.- 12:50 p.m. - 50 minutes
Period 6- 12:55 p.m.- 1:45 p.m. -  50 minutes
Period 7- 1:50 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. - 40 minutes

German "Amazing Race" Field Trip

On May 30, our German students went on a field trip to Lincoln Square and participated in the annual German "Amazing Race." In this task, student teams had to pick up some products from Julius Meinl and then take them to the photo studio where they did a photo shoot with the products to create an advertisement for Julius Meinl. Student teams came up with the tag lines on each advertisement, but had to get approval first from Mr. Gross, who is also a German speaker.

Class of 2014 Senior T-Shirt

Any junior who is interested in creating a design for the senior t-shirt should submit the drawing to Mrs. Hanly by this Friday, June 14.  You may submit a hard copy to her mailbox or send it to her electronically at schanly@cps.edu.  No submissions will be accepted after Friday’s deadline!

Summer IVS Classes

$75 per class
Start Date: Thursday, June 27th
End Date: Thursday, August 1st
Meets: Monday through Thursday 7:30am - 11:30am

More than 1 day of unexcused absence is basis for dismissal from the program

Priority goes to current Seniors

We will also register current Juniors, but they will be placed on a waitlist and contacted when a seat opens.

***Seniors and Juniors in need of credit recovery should see their counselors to register for Summer IVS as soon as possible as space is limited.***
