Senior Parent FAFSA Workshop

When: Tuesday, February 19
Time: 5-7:30pm
Where: Hewitt College & Career Center, Rm. 135
What: A FAFSA expert from Ladder Up will be on hand to answer any questions parents may have about FAFSA.  Please bring in your 1040 Tax Return and the Ladder Up representative will help you complete and submit a FAFSA application for your child.  All FAFSA Applications should be submitted by March 1, 2013.

Students and parents, please plan your schedules in advance using the Curriculum page and Digital Course Catalog.  Screenshots of the course request form are currently posted on the Course Registration Login page.   A list of closed courses and courses with limited availability will also be posted to assist students in the selection process.

FRC Robot Reveal

Please join Lane's FRC (robotics) team: 4645: XMachina for their Robot Reveal Event on Monday, February 18th from 4:30pm-6:00pm in the Lane Tech Auditorium. 

In their inaugural year of this robotics competition, the FRC students and teacher sponsors (Mr. Durham, Ms. Smit, and Mr. Law) have been working long hours every night to design, develop, and build their competition ready robot. The students and sponsors would love to see Lane teachers, students, parents, and community members at the event!

Lane Tech named one of 105 Illinois Spotlight Schools

Each year, the Illinois Honor Roll recognizes the accomplishments of exemplary public schools.  Lane Tech was one of the 105 schools earning the Illinois Spotlight.  Illinois Spotlight Schools include "high-poverty schools where high academic performance is closing the 'achievement gap.'"

Course Registration for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors

All course registration information will be communicated via CPS email.  Visit http://google.cps.edu for access.

If you do not know your username or password, contact your division teacher ASAP.

In the meantime, visit the "Curriculum" page on www.lanetech.org (under the "Academics" drop-down menu).  This will give you an idea of the courses you should take next year.  Near the bottom of the page is the Course Catalog.  This includes a description of the courses offered at Lane.  While you can view this file now, an updated version will be posted on February 13.
