Additionally, we are proud to announce that once again, Lane Tech will be sending a student to the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair from May 10-16. Only 4 high school students in Chicago are chosen to attend International Science Fair each year. Marcelina Puc (Sr.), was chosen for the third year in a row, as one of four students to attend this International Science Fair. Marcelina's project is Mechanism of Apoptotic Action of Colloidal Silver and Bromelain on PC12 and HeLa Cells, also earned the presidential award (highest overall scoring project). Marcelina was recognized at the CPS Board of Education meeting at the last board meeting.
In addition, we extremely proud that two of our students, Daniel Puzcko (Fr.) and Guochuan Zhang (Jr.) were also selected as the only two alternates for the International Science Fair.
Thank you to all teachers and sponsors who have provided support and guidance to our students in developing, implementing, and presenting their STEM projects.
