Congratulations to our robotics team, X-Machina, for qualifying once again for the FIRST Robotics World Championship Tournament! In addition to earning their second consecutive Championship bid, X-Machina took home the Engineering Inspiration Award which comes with a $5000 grant from NASA. Team #4645 will once again represent Lane Tech at the largest international robotics competition ever held.
Also, an enormous congratulations to Jacqueline Puschmann for winning the Dean's List Award at this past weekend's competition! This award is the highest honor an individual team member can earn at a FIRST event. The Dean's List Award is given to a student whose academic achievements, technical aptitude and promotion of FIRST are a model for all other FIRST participants. As a regional winner Jacqueline will get to have breakfast with FIRST founder, and inventor of the Segway, Dean Kamen. We're incredibly proud to have outstanding students like Jacqueline on our team!
